An Enemy Unknown

A Satanist Poem

an enemy unknown,
and enemy unknown,

and still they say,
it’s a wage for your soul…

an enemy unknown,
a story untold,
two thousand horrors,
and still it’s your soul…

with pitchforks and damnation,
a bible to tell you it’s sin,
an enemy unknown,
an enemy unknown,

just to remind you,
it’s him…

a god to turn to,
when stockholm is it’s name,

for righteousness is patriarchy,
and god a father with a finger wag…

an enemy unknown,
an enemy unknown,

blame spirits and Jesus,
when truly,
it was a story to unfold,

tho protection is never guaranteed,
we pray to those in need,
so that they may feel blessed,
and look good on tv,

while heaven smiles with all it’s glory,
but only if you believe…

an enemy unknown,
an enemy unknown,

look inward for reason,
and outward for scold,
for god is your satan,
telling you to be patient,
while life goes on around you,
and those who go without receive…

an enemy unknown,
an enemy unknown,

feel good you have received good graces,
but remember indeed,

god is unkindful and wicked,
an abomination with a seed…

a satan for your crosses,
a prejudice for your biases…
feel good being moral,
when silence is what you need….

an enemy unknown,
an enemy unknown,

who is your enemy,
but the one you adore…

Feel good when it feels good, but remember the bad…

About Michael Medlen

My name is Michael and during my free time I avoid having a day job. Strangely enough, this gives me the freedom to run this blog. I write just about anything that can be considered art. I also occasionally post articles that may or may not be relevant to the theme of this site. You’ve been warned.
