No I Didn’t Get to See It

Inspired by Jonathan Caswell's Post found here!

Glancing at the eclipse was fun

But too bad I went for a run

I shoulda stayed

Instead I relayed

And now have to pretend to have seen the sun

***

Looking up in the sky

Where is that piece of pie?

God says boo

I lose my shoe

And now have to sit and cry

***
I heard there was an eclipse today

Too bad I didn’t want to stay

I slept in bed

Felt good in the head

And now have to hear about it all day

  2. Incredible poetic writing my friend. You took feelings right out of me.
If it makes you feel any better. I didn’t see the eclipse nor did I not want to see it. What’s interesting is people paid more attention to the eclipse instead of focusing on what is happening in the world. Our political leaders are distracting the public while they are behind the scene working on something big.

Two thumbs up on the poem my friend. 🙂
