Across the Universe

I flew to the moon

Just to fall to the stars

Drifting alone

With a heart set on Mars

Daring  to dance

Across the twilight of lights

Only to find

A lost lover in my sight

Happening to glance

I saw his bright face

A pale planet he was

And yet full of grace

We eclipsed to a beat

A heart shaped like a crescent

Drifting alone

Space was our present

We laughed and we played

As the Milky Way spun

Revolving in an ecosystem

Infinite plus one

And soon it was time

To return to my bed

Where lucidity was my vessel

And his dream in my head

He said we’ll meet again

As long as we part

For here is my story

And there is my heart

About Michael Medlen

My name is Michael and during my free time I avoid having a day job. Strangely enough, this gives me the freedom to run this blog. I write just about anything that can be considered art. I also occasionally post articles that may or may not be relevant to the theme of this site. You’ve been warned.
