Barefoot September

I need a friend

One that comprehends me

And sitting by

And sitting by myself

I wonder why

I can’t come across to you

And all these memories

Come flooding back at me

And I never knew

I could be so lonely

Without you

Without me

Do you remember

Barefoot September

and i always wonder

if we would be forever

6th grade philosophers

without wizard caps

Two lost souls

Out in the woods

Hands on the track

Never looking back

And I know

You were my soul

I need a friend

One that comprehends me

And all these pictures

Come rushing forward

And I try to grab them

But I always fall

looking forward

dark roads ahead

I see a blooming cloud

with you in it

And I’m sorry

I wasn’t there

About Michael Medlen

My name is Michael and during my free time I avoid having a day job. Strangely enough, this gives me the freedom to run this blog. I write just about anything that can be considered art. I also occasionally post articles that may or may not be relevant to the theme of this site. You’ve been warned.
