Romanticism

Men were made to make such stupid mistakes,

While women were given a heart of ice,

But to make a claim for first-Adam’s sake,

It was the original sin of Eve taken of his side,

For that man stole the right to want to own,

The woman’s frosted heart he felt came

From the very rib he remembered was his alone,

For it is only natural to want to take your same.

While men were meant to kill—hunt—eat—clean.

It can not be condemned a fault of a single gender,

But rather that of the roles we were told to be,

Which we took to heart to act in this folly forever.

My name is Michael and during my free time I avoid having a day job. Strangely enough, this gives me the freedom to run this blog. I write just about anything that can be considered art. I also occasionally post articles that may or may not be relevant to the theme of this site. You’ve been warned.
