The young and the drunk,

What a sad, sad bunch.

Of all the talent we could have had,

We wasted it all inside a beer can.

The future presidents, the future governors,

The future wives, engineers, and scandalous mayors.

Who’ll be left to fight the man?

Or sober enough to know where they stand?

While they to used to debate the weight of man’s fate,

My generation fights to align the beer cups straight.

So go on we will—to drink and drink

But so long to the brain and think tank.

For we are the young and the drunk,

What a sad, sad bunch.

One Response to Millenials

  1. Wow, you are really hard on your own generation. I believe there is still so much time for the Millennials to organize, run for office, and create the change they want to see. But they don’t have to do it alone. Just think of the power in numbers if Millennials and Baby Boomers come together to work for real change. Visit my blog at Thank you, More Anon
