An Ode to Maudlin

Two hearts beating steadily,

An evenly paced race,

One will win eventually,

The other will fall flat on its face.

Between heaven and hell,

Our actions will only tell,

If one heart will fly,

And the other be broken, left to die.

It’s such a foolish game,

Our hearts made to love,

To give, to take, to go back and play,

If only they could decide to walk away.

About Michael Medlen

My name is Michael and during my free time I avoid having a day job. Strangely enough, this gives me the freedom to run this blog. I write just about anything that can be considered art. I also occasionally post articles that may or may not be relevant to the theme of this site. You’ve been warned.
